A new drawing of my little blue fairy, I really liked how the fishy colors worked out!

Nice work harusame

I love how you used one of my favorite textures from my abstract ballpoint pen drawings and yet you use it slightly differently than I do. I was wondering where you picked it up.

Best wishes

You had commented as much on my Doctor Who themed peice how odd, as to this peice,

The background in the blue fairy is made of a mix of different photographs of old wall paper, colored in and photoshoped some are from my family home, 250 years of farmhouse wallpaper :)

However, I hope you are not implying that I may have taken from your work without giving credit where it is due.
That just wouldn't be very nice.

I didn't mean to imply that would make me a hypocrite. I borrowed that design from someone else over thirty years ago. It's just that it's not something you see very often. I was hopping I had been an inspiration. Go to my website and borrow to your hearts content. And yes the pattern makes me feel very zen too.

Interesting representation of the blue fairy! :) Blue and grey are the colors which are the most present in the picture, with a bit of pink. And why not! It gives a form of simplicity to the drawing. :) Not too many colors... just enough of them which suit each other to make a whole representation.

She's so adorable!! I love the sparkly highlights. I also like the fact that she's really curvy, lol, that's not something I EVER really see with pixie-like characters.

Thanks Beth! I know! The sparklies were fun to do , but took forever because I was trying to think, deep sea fish X)
I love the fact that shes so curvy! More shapes of ladies need to be represented and I like to think I'm sending love to them all :D

Yes, and I like the mysterious background ''curtain-like'' effect too.
